Day 3- Bat🦇☀️
From Mayan mythology comes the Bat god Cama-Zotz. It is said that there are four amulets that if brought together would let evil reign over the world. One of them is to be found in a temple of the Cama-Zotz. This creature is said to rule over the dark “house of the bats” located in the Underworld Xibalba, which is said to be impossible to escape from.

There is a story of two Mayan hero twins that has to spend the night in Xibalba. In order to defend themselves from the circling bats, they squeezed themselves into their own blowguns. One of the twins, Hunahpu, stuck his head out of his blowgun to see if the sun had risen and Camazotz immediately snatched off his head and carried it to the ballcourt to be hung up as the ball to be used by the gods in their next ballgame.
